NTS Case Study Barton Carnival

Nationwide Traffic Solutions once again delivered their traffic management services for a local village carnival parade recently.

The Gainsborough based traffic management company administered traffic management at Barton Carnival Parade on Saturday 9th September.

In addition to providing marshals, the team demonstrated their wide range of traffic management services by installing road closures and advance warning signage through the Lincolnshire town, which is located on the edge of the River Humber.

NTS worked closely with event organisers to assist with route planning and applications in preparation for the popular local event. Barton Carnival is in its 3rd year and gathered support from lots of local businesses and residents in Barton-upon-Humber, plus gained popularity on social media.

Starting at 12pm from Tesco, the parade travelled through Barton, ending at the park on Preston Lane. In addition to the parade there was lots more entertainment for visitors in the form of a fun fair, Black Eagles, Squibb Freestyle, Savage Skills, magician and a night time event featuring live music from local bands. The parade floats were the best the team had seen – the ‘grannies’ on Segways were a particular highlight!

TeamNTS were delighted to be invited back to be involved in the parade and enjoyed seeing some familiar faces. Did you go to Barton Carnival? Share your pics on social media using #TeamNTS.
